New Mental Health, Social-Emotional and Behavioral Screening and Evaluation Compendium has been released. Over 50 FREE Social-Emotional Screening Tools are included. Created by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency (SAMSHA) and the Ohio Department of Education through Ohio’s Project AWARE.
Ohio PBIS Recognition Awards deadline quickly approaching!
Deadline: June 15, 2016
New: Free safety tip line available for Ohio schools. This tip line will allow students and adults to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student safety—whether that involves a threatened mass incident or harm to a single student. Here is the link for your district to sign up.
Ohio releases data on number of restraints and uses of seclusion in public schools. (Columbus Dispatch, 10-6-14). More than one-third of Ohio’s public schools physically restrained at least one student last school year, according to preliminary data collected by the state.
